Travellers returning from risk areas

You are a returning traveller and are or will be arriving from a risk area?
16. August 2020

Dear resident of our residential complexes,

The Robert Koch Institute's designations of international risk areas  (Ausweisungen des Robert-Koch-Instituts internationaler Risikogebiete) are decisive for return journeys to Germany from outside EU countries.

If your country belongs to one of these risk areas, the following separate requirements apply, which you must comply with in any case:

  • Immediately call your local public health department.
  • Go into domestic quarantine for 10 days. You are therefore not allowed to stay outside your accommodation.
  • When you (newly) move into your residence, the house management will give you further instructions and assistance.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in fines being imposed by the City of Hamburg.

We know that this means a special cut for you, but it is unavoidable for the common good.
