Daycare centre of the Studierendenwerk Hamburg passed the Kita inspection procedure of the Authority for Labor, Social Affairs, Family and Integration (BASFI) for the first time.

As one of the first daycare centres in Hamburg, the integrative Studierendenwerk daycare centre "Die Stifte" was successfully audited by the daycare centre audit procedure. Aspects of the range of services, opening hours and staffing and qualifications were among the subjects of the audit. In addition, there were audit points such as cooperation with parents and elementary schools, education and language support, nutrition and health care, support for children with disabilities, further training, quality development and accounting aspects. The regulations of the state framework agreement form the basis of the daycare center audit procedure.

The daycare centres audited by the Hamburg Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Family and Integration (BASFI) are selected at random. Every year, about 220 daycare centres are to be audited, so that in about 5 years all of Hamburg's approximately 1,100 daycare centres will have gone through the daycare audit process.
