Margaretha-Rothe-Haus

The Margaretha-Rothe-Haus housing complex consists of two houses and is located in the immediate vicinity of Hamburg's Stadtpark, in a central location, approx. 3 minutes' walk to the Borgweg underground station, approx. 10 minutes by underground to Hamburg University. In 2015/16, the high-rise building (house C/D) was completely refurbished and the rooms newly furnished.

There are a total of 475 single rooms. 456 rooms have a size of approx. 11 m². There are also 19 large rooms, which are approx. 20 m² in size and are allocated internally to interested parties. The rooms are furnished and some have a washbasin. All rooms have an internet, telephone and cable TV connection.

On the individual floors, residents share fully equipped communal kitchens. Parking spaces for cars, motorbikes and bicycles are available. There is a large bar with a pool table and table football. There is also a sports hall, a weight room, a table tennis room, a bicycle workshop and a video room. The canoes purchased by the student self-administration invite you to take trips in the nearby canals. These can be borrowed during the summer season.

Rent

The monthly rent is between € 294 and € 367 including flat-rate utilities such as heating, water, electricity, etc. as well as the costs for internet access and cable TV connection.

For students who need a room for a period of less than half a year, rooms are offered for short-term rental with a higher price and additional services. These are assigned by the Central Short-Term Rental Office.
