Student Self Administration Charter for Studierendenwerk Hamburg Residences

Application

You can fill in the application form online. There is a waiting list to which any application can be added earliest with a leadtime of three months before your chosen date for moving in.

You can also pick up the application form from the Counselling Centre Accommodation(Beratungszentrum Wohnen) or print it out. Please send the completed form together with a photo to Studierendenwerk Hamburg, Von-Melle-Park 2, 20146 Hamburg, Germany.

You can apply to up to 3 selected halls or to all the halls. By applying to all the halls, you will increase your chances of finding accommodation quickly.

As we regularly update our waiting list, you will receive mails asking if you are still interested to move into one of our student residences. If you confirm your interest within the deadline indicated in the mail, your name will remain on the waiting list. If, however, we should not recive your feedback within the given deadline, we assume that you are no longer interested and will remove your name from the waiting list. This procedure of continuous updates ensures that all applicants with an interest in one of Studierendenwerk's residences will move up earlier in the list.

As soon as it is your turn, you will receive a written offer of accommodation and you will be able to move in accordingly. If you choose not to accept the offer, however, your name will be removed from the waiting list.

Please inform us if you find accommodation elsewhere.
